Celebrating a 63-year history, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra serving Southwest Virginia as a cultural resource through concerts, youth programs, and community engagement.

The RSO's mission is to enrich lives, to educate, and to entertain diverse audiences in western Virginia with the highest quality instrumental and choral concerts, and to enhance traditional performances with innovative programming.

Roanoke Valley Children's Choir

The Roanoke Valley Children's Choir (RVCC) is a choir for young singers ages 7-18, located in Salem, VA. The choir operates as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The choir currently consists of about 240 children, 7-18, from across the Roanoke Valley. There are 4 choirs that span the age range; A, B, B+, and C Choirs.

The Roanoke Valley Firefighters Foundation, Inc. provides assistance to survivors of fallen full-time, part-time, and volunteer fire-EMS personnel who serve a Virginia public governmental agency in the Cities of Roanoke and Salem and the Counties of Roanoke, Bedford, Botetourt, and Franklin and all towns within their boundaries. The Board serves on a voluntary basis consisting of active and retired fire-EMS personnel.
