Together we Raised

Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley, Inc.

Raised: $250Remaining: $750

The Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley (ACCRV) is proud of our goal to “Keep Families Together.” Established in 1983, ACCRV is the premiere licensed Adult Day Services program in the Roanoke region.  Our licensing is monitored and regulated by the local Department of Social Services with an onsite inspection at least annually.

Employed caregivers count on us for quality respite during their work week, while others greatly appreciate the peace of mind and time to rejuvenate from 24/7 caregiving.

Located in Salem across the street from the Veterans’ Administration brings us many participants who valiantly served our country.

(Day at The Wall)

We assist participants and families with various ways to pay for our services by contracting with the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (Medicaid), the Local Office on Aging (for scholarships) and the Salem Veterans’ Administration Medical Center.  Other participants pay privately and some have long term care insurance to reimburse them for payment of services.  Although beneficial for our participants, none of the payer sources reimburse at a rate that covers an individual’s cost of services per day.  Therefore, applying for various grants and seeking donors like you is imperative to the ongoing operation of our center.

(Community Support)

ACCRV provides scheduled recreational and social activities for nine hours, ongoing nursing care, safety supervision, two snacks & lunch and transportation into the community in our van.  We currently employ a full time RN, two part time RN’s and all of our direct care staff are CNA’s.

All donations received from Roanoke Valley Gives Day will be applied to the Sue Nutter Scholarship Fund to help open the door to our Center for those who “Paved the Way" for all of us.
