The Blessing Bag Program is a 501(c)3 non-profit (EIN 82-2171108) that provides bags to homeless, senior citizens, families with small children and those in extreme poverty, we are making a difference in lives, locally in the Roanoke Valley.
As a partner with the Blessing Bag Program, you ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
These are just a few real world examples of what people have used our bags.
In 2017 you helped create 1245+ bags from the 119 donations that allowed us to make bags for our area homeless.
Through our program, we helped 10 homeless men and women get jobs! Our bags helped providing grooming needs for a job interview!
We helped Rosie, a homeless woman that had pneumonia. We raised over $850 that provided her medical treatment, a place to rest and get better. She was reunited with family in North Carolina because of you!
We helped 56+ (and counting) children in extreme poverty get Christmas gifts in 2017.
We helped local Veterans get bags for Thanksgiving and the holidays.
We provided 400 bags to people in Puerto Rico this year.
What makes us different as a non-profit is that we provide hope in the form of a bag.
While many non-profits offer food, clothing and shelter, we are providing additional support beyond the basics, things you and I take for everyday.
As homeless individuals and families transition into those stable environment’s, we help by offering those small comforts that otherwise get overlooked.
Thank You for being a Partner in our program, when you do YOU are "Helping People Grow".
Our goal for 2018 is to raise just $5,300. That will provide us with the ability to increase our bag production to almost triple our current abilities, to provide transportation of our own and to also help secure us a location in Roanoke to build the bags, allow people to drop off donations and to run our operations too.
We are asking that you help us grow by making a tax-deductible donation to our organization.
100% of what you donate stays local. For every $2.59 donated, we can create a full bag of needed items for those less fortunate than you or I.
