Children with adaptive equipment can . . .
- Play with their friends and siblings
- Participate in meals and bath times
- Explore their world, moving and learning
- Do more for themselves, be more independent
CATS will accept a donation of costly adaptive equipment from one child with a disability, who has outgrown equipment, and donate it to another child who needs it. We would like to have a community in which all available adaptive equipment is in use by children with disabilities who need it.
We've got gait trainers & walkers; adaptive seating systems; wheel chairs; standing frames; bath, shower and toilet seats; even therapy tools and communication devices!
Volunteers collect donations and make sure equipment is clean and refurbished. Fittings are coordinated with the child's own therapist and/or carried out by professional volunteer staff.
Your gift gives a child what he or she needs to have more opportunities to participate at home, at school or in their community. This could be a wheelchair, or gait trainer or walker, a first one or replacing one too quickly outgrown. It might be a bath or shower chair allowing for a safe and fun daily routine! It could be an adaptive seating system, a therapy tool for a home program, or a medical stroller for that little one, so Mom can finally get out and about and Baby sees the world. Health care, early intervention and education dollars are not stretching far enough. These kids need your help now! Thank you so very much!
