Children's Trust offers prevention programming to help eliminate child abuse and neglect, supportive services for children and families during the investigation and prosecution of alleged abuse or neglect, advocacy for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, and mediation and co-parenting education to create strong foundations for children whose families do not live together.
Here’s how we helped our community in FY17:
3,395 children learned how to protect their bodies from abuse
184 abused children had an advocate to help find them a safe, permanent home
397 children were able to talk about the abuse they experienced in a safe, child-friendly environment
634 parents and children received support and guidance throughout child abuse investigations
270 families had the opportunity to create parenting plans on their own terms
Healthy Families incorporates a parent-child bonding approach, with the belief that early, nurturing relationships are the foundation for life-long healthy development.
