(This is Elvis, a trained Facility Dog, his job is to comfort children visiting our Children's Advocacy Center)
Through its programs, Children's Trust offers child abuse prevention, intervention and advocacy!
Here’s how the community helped in FY16:
3,348 children learned how to protect their bodies
from child abuse;
118 abused children found safe, permanent homes;
376 children were able to tell about their abuse in a safe,
670 parents and children received support and guidance
throughout child abuse investigations;
families negotiated for their children’s custody and
child support on their own terms.
Children's Trust is excited to announce an addition to our prevention program, Healthy Families!
Healthy Families incorporates a parent-child bonding approach, with the belief that early, nurturing relationships are the foundation for life-long healthy development.
