With a history stretching back over 100 years to the founding of Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing and the Lewis-Gale Hospital School of Nursing, Jefferson College of Health Sciences has a long and proud history of service. Service to our students and in turn their service to heal our communities has always been at the heart of a Jefferson College education. Today Jefferson College of Health Sciences delivers superior interprofessional healthcare education, so that our graduates are equipped to meet the demands of their chosen healthcare profession. Funds raised during Roanoke Valley Gives 2018 will support the College's Extra Mile Fund which is a co-curricular fund designed to support a student’s development and success outside of the classroom. Students may apply for funds to participate in conferences, experiential learning activities, research, and other activities outside of the classroom designed to enhance their overall educational experience.
