For more than 30 years, New Vision has promoted independence and equality for people with visual impairments. We do this by providing audio access to printed materials such as newspapers and magazines and by conducting individualized instruction in the use of computers, tablets, smartphones and other adaptive technologies. As a nonprofit, the comprehensive service we offer to the visually impaired is unique in all of Southwest Virginia.

The chances are that you or someone who you know will suffer from a visual impairment!

Imagine what it is like living with a visual impairment.  Everyday tasks such as reading the mail or the newspaper, accessing information on the internet, or using technology can be challenging, if not impossible.  Many who are visually impaired are unable to work or volunteer or handle their own personal finances.  They are at risk for falls, fires, educational limitations, and isolation.  So, where might people with visual impairments turn?  To us!

Community support has been vital in achieving our mission.  As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, it has only been with our donor’s generosity that we are able to provide our necessary services.  Your support is needed more than ever so that we might continue to fulfill our critical mission for those with visual impairments.  Without your assistance, there may be nowhere else to turn.
