35 Years of Keeping Families Close in the Roanoke Valley
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia (RMHC of SW VA) keeps families close to their child while he or she undergoes treatment. During this critical period, families can stay in our home away from home and receive shelter, home-cooked meals, and support, just a short distance from the hospital. The Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside Carilion Children's Hospital provides a respite area where parents may grab a snack, take a break, and still remain steps from their child's bedside.
For the past 35 years, an average of 700 families a year traveled from hours away to Roanoke for their child to receive medical care and were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. As we celebrate 35 years, we ask that you choose to become a $35 monthly donor. Donate to support family togetherness because a family in crisis shouldn't have to worry about anything but being a family.
